Today is a big day of firsts for me. . . First time to look for New York City jobs; first time to visit the New Yorker; first experience at the New York public library; first visit to a pageant (the terrace drag show does NOT count).
The New Yorker was everything I was looking for, beautiful space, smart people, good graphic arts. And what better way to follow up than with a visit to the Miss Universe organization. After both visits, I must say that there is something really appealing about in house work. Still, they don’t have the resources to train new lawyers. The real question today? How can one get the necessary experience if law firms aren’t hiring???
And so, the job hunt continues. I am sitting and writing my followup from the main reading room of the Bew York public library. The ceiling is phenomenal.
Tomorrow will be an even bigger day.
